As a independent support worker subcontracting to Support worker 4U, you have the flexibility to:
Set your own schedule
Request for roles that align with your skills and preferences
Determine your own rates (We have default rates however the onus is on you to let us know what rate you want to charge, the maximum rate is capped by the NDIS and we give you a % of the rate you choose to charge).

As an independent support worker, there are several responsibilities to consider in running your business effectively:
You will need to register for and operate under your own ABN
It is advisable to set aside funds for tax obligations and superannuation as per our contract.
Budgeting for variable income, which may fluctuate depending on client funding and payment methods

What do you need to provide to us
Checks
NDIS check: Ensures compliance with the standards set by the National Disability Insurance Scheme, guaranteeing quality and safety in service delivery.
Police check: Verifies the criminal history of individuals to ensure the safety of our clients and maintain a secure environment. (National Police Check Application).
Children’s check: Confirms the suitability of individuals to work with children (participants under 18), ensuring their protection and well-being. (Working with Children’s Check Application).
Insurance
Public and products liability insurance: $10,000,000 (if yours is less it is easy and not expensive to change your policy with your insurer).
Professional indemnity insurance: $5,000,000

CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support OR CHC43121 – Certificate IV in Disability Support OR CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
